Review

McLaren tries to expand its super series of vehicles by adding the 2017 McLaren 570 GT model to its lineup.The 570 GT model is going to be a fine and a nice addition to the ever expanding range of McLaren vehicles. This new model brings a lot of intrigue and can very likely topple the popularity of the previous model as it expands with more luggage space besides the already base features that these models have.The McLaren vehicles are  ultra-fast, daily driver sports car, as they announced their Super Series of cars.

Exterior

The exterior design of the 2017 McLaren 570 GT is actually to follow and borrow a lot from the 570S. The front end  of the car is pretty much the same as it uses a similar P1-inspired styling and aerodynamic design.The only change worth mentioning are teh body-colored door inserts that make the 570 GT distinguishable compared to the 570C and 570S models. But the side view also sees a slightly different shape which goes towards the rear end of the car.The vented hood is now replaced with a side-opening glass hatch which has a gap between the panoramic glass roof and the deck lid.The trunk lid actually has strong crease lines which are there in order to optimize the air flow over the front fenders of the car and the aero blades below the bumper are there in order to create  an area of high pressure ahead of the radiators.

Interior

There are actually a lot of changes made on the inside of the 2017 McLaren 570 GT, perhaps even more than we have expected it . Let’s start with the fixed glass panoramic roof which comes as standard. And because of the extended glass area, the model uses a revised air conditioning system with a dual-zone unit  that is fully automatic and has independent settings for both passengers up front.One of the more important features of the car is the extended luggage compartment.It adds additional 7.8 cubic feet of storage space and is completely wrapped in leather, making the overall storage space  13.1 cubic feet which is more than impressive for a sports car model.The model also features a much more quieter cabin which is not only made possible due to the new revised exhaust system but also because of the standard McLaren Audi o Plus sound system and specially developed Pirelli tires. There is an optional eight-speaker audio system features two 100mm  mid/bass drive units and two 25mm tweeters in the rear.

Engine specs

The 2017 McLaren 570 GT is going to continue with the use of the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V-8 engine that 562 horsepower at 7,400 rpm and 443 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm. As this is the same engine that the 570S Coupe, the 570 GT is going to be a tad slower because of the heavier roof. As it is 81 pounds heavier, it needs 3.4 seconds to reach 0-60 mph and has a benchmark speed of 124-mph, which is achieved at 9.8 seconds, while the top speed is 204 mph.

Release date and price

The release date for the 2017 McLaren 570 GT is set for July 2016, but this is only for the customers in the UK as they will be the first one to actually test the car. But as the US release has been confirmed we are actually given a release date which is going to appear in the end of 2016. So we are getting the 2017 model a bit earlier which is splendid news. The price for the 570 GT is $199,850, and the  570S is $184,900 on the US market, while the 570GT has a starting price of £154,000 in the England.
